Children of a married couple has better results than children de factos or single parents, according to research from the Australian Institute of Family Studies.
But a survey of more than 4,000 families for more than four years shows that marriage is the product of a relationship that is s, happy and not the cause.
The happiest family tends not only to get married, but financially s-only households in the survey reported 20 married financial difficulties, compared with one of the five de facto parents and single mother of two of the five-almost all of them are mothers.
Mother marry is twice the tertiary educated, and probably a little more likely to be employed than single mothers or mothers in de facto relationships.
